Gosford Sailing Club Commodore, Geoff Jollow said that the club was determined to eradicate cigarette butt litter around their club's property created by their club's members, guests and visitors.

"Even more importantly we want to eliminate the cigarette butt litter that we know is sometimes thrown over the side from yachts and boats. Gosford Sailing Club was established in 1932 and has evolved from an Acquatic Club with two 16ft skiffs to one which promotes the sport of sailing in all its forms, from junior training boats to ocean going yachts.
