Global Managing Contractor Nacap has begun distributing No BuTTs 'Mini-Butts' personal ashtrays to employees and contractors in a campaign to eliminate employee cigarette butt littering.

Nacap operates worldwide as a managing contractor, providing a wide range of multidisciplinary solutions for the transport of oil, gas, water, electricity and data. Nacap employs some 3,000 people worldwide and achieves a yearly turnover of approx. $1.3 billion.

Nacap Personal Ashtrays from No BuTTs
"We looked for a solution to our employees cigarette butt littering and No BuTTs personal ashtrays were clearly the best product available, and infact were a little cheaper than the other alternatives." said Andrew Ginns, Land, Environmental & Cultural Heritage Manager.

"Our Mini-Butts have been very well received by our staff and contractors and the decrease in employee cigarette butt littering is dramatic.  No BuTTs personal ashtrays are helping Nacap change the littering habits of our employees and that's good for the environment as well as our corporate image.

"The words environmental responsiblity and sustainability are increasingly used by many organisations these days, but talk is cheap." said Mr Ginns, "Nacap's commitment to high standards of environmental protection is evident all the way down to the guys who are literally in the trenchs."

"We spend a fortune every year on our environmental initiatives and we want to be seen to be doing the right thing.  But it only takes one of our guys in our work gear littering their butts in public, and all that good work is for nought.  Even worse is that when our guys litter their butts they're basically anonymous - but they make our company look bad and it's our public image that suffers - and that's completely unacceptable."

"It's also completely avoidable with No BuTTs Mini-Butts Personal Ashtrays.  For around $2 per employee our Mini-Butts are a cheap, effective and sustainable way to help the environment and protect our public profile at the same time.  In fact, we know from the many comments we've received that our Mini-Butts have created a lot of very positive PR." said Mr Ginns.

"Nacap's website states that the highest possible priority is attached to the maintenance and improvement of health, safety and environment standards for all stakeholders", said No BuTTs Managing Director, Jack Jacobson, "so it's good to see another company that actually practices what they preach - and they should be commended for doing so."

Over 3,000 organisations are now providing No BuTTs portable ashtrays to their staff, employees and contractors - and protecting the environment and their corporate image at the same time.
