Eurobodalla Shire Council, in consultation with the community, has worked together in recent years to develop environmental, social and economic plans to guide the sustainable future of the Shire - and to provide the tools to produce sustainable and competitive tourism that meets community expectations.

"Obviously as a world famous tourist destination, this includes the issue of cigarette butt littering - and how to reduce it." said Jack Jacobson, No BuTTs Managing Director.

"The wonderful thing about No BuTTs Personal Ashtrays is that they don't just reduce cigarette butt litter. Smoker by smoker, they eliminate it - permanently."

Research shows that over 95% of smokers permanently stop littering their cigarette butts once they have access to a Personal Ashtray that is reliable, safe and easy to use.

Eurobodalla Shire is located on the south coast of New South Wales, 360 kilometres south of the Sydney and 220 kilometres south-east of Canberra.

Eurobodalla's 110 kilometres of coastline includes the Batemans Marine Park and 3,400 square kilometres of land. More than 80 percent of the land is either national park or state forest.

"In a perfect world, people wouldn't smoke - but the reality is that they do. " said a ESC Spokesperson.

"No BuTTs Personal Ashtrays assist smokers - whether they are residents, tourists or visitors - to always be responsible with their cigarette butts no matter where their travels may take them, which is good for everyone."

No BuTTs Branded Personal Ashtrays are available free from the Shire's Tourst Information Centres, located at Batemans Bay and Moruya.

Eurobodalla Shire Council's Personal Ashtrays have been produced with Council logo, anti-littering slogan and a QR Code that scans directly to a section on ESC's website that provides information about the negative consequences to all of cigarette butt litter and the simple
solution to butt litter.

"And that solution is No BuTTs award winning Branded Personal Ashtrays." said Jack.

"There's simply no excuses whatsoever for butt littering especially when the local council offers their citizens free personal ashtrays." said Jack.

"Every Government Department, Organisation and Business around the planet that has implemented the distribution of No BuTTs Personal Ashtrays has reported a significant decrease in cigarette butt litter."

"That's because Personal Ashtrays don't just provide an immediate solution to actual butt littering, they also visibly increase awareness of the problem of cigarette butt litter everytime they're used - and that's the key to successful Butt Litter Reduction Campaigns."

Over 1,500 Govt Depts and NGOs around the planet are now distributing No BuTTs Personal / Pocket / Portable Ashtrays within their communities, and increasingly makiing them available from Tourist Information Centres and council, county and shire offices.
