29 YEARS! WOW.Down a laneway in our world famous Chinatown as you cruise out pre or post some tasty dumplings, catching a mesmerising theatre show, catching a gig, watching a footy game, after work or just walking through our marvellous streets and laneways of Melbourne you'll find us right in thick of all the damn fine things.A bar, gallery, place of assembly, 4 walls that hold all the good times right in the thick of all of it.FAD turns 29 today, opened on the 26th of April by Johnny Halleday.We have stayed independent, ran our own race through the good times and not so good and have kept on keeping on for all that time.Now without tooting our own trumpet, this is no easy feat, to run and operate a bar in the Melbourne CBD for a few years, let alone 29. But we're still here, and we say cheers to that and cheers to you. And The big 3-0 next year! - far out! Now that's one to put in your diaries now for a party not to be missed - (more details to come later in the year)We've been cracking tins, making drinks, shaking cocktails, providing good times, having a boogie, and meeting damn fine folk like you all for all this time.Some may call us an institution, but we just call our home/bar Fad.Come for a chat, a boogie, meet a friend old or new - whatever you need and look for in a damn fine night in Melbourne we're here for you and have been so since 1995.Cocktails, wines, beers, classic tunes, brilliant art and all those damn fine fadulous times.People have met spouses, made life long friends, made endless memories (sometimes forgot some too), danced, laughed, cried, brought art, caught a gig, drank and raised a glass (sometimes a damn fine amount to), lost a brain cell, gained knowledge, said "Just one more" (for the 10th time), danced some more, drunk some more... and everything else wonderful that comes with walking into Fad.We've seen it all and have lived to tell the tale.There are times where it hasn't been easy, but the damn fine times outweigh the negatives.Thanks for the past 29 years, who knows how long we've got left on this damn fine ride of damn fine times, but come down tonight for a fadulous party as we celebrate 29 years of being in business and get to share those damn fine ride with you all as we have done for near on 3 decades!Thanks for the support and endless good times, we can't wait to see you tonight and keep on having those fadulous damn fine times for however long we've got left.29 years!!!
