WDS Limited has gone butt litter free by distributing No BuTTs award winning Branded Personal Ashtrays to staff and contractors.
WDS Limited is a leading Australian integrated provider of specialist development, design, engineering, construction, fabrication and maintenance related services to the cross section of energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.
"We knew what was happening with our staff and contractors butt littering and we looked for a solution that would protect our environment and also our corporate profile." said Deirdre O'Neill, Project Environmental Coordinator for WDS.
"We contacted No BuTTs and ordered a couple of hundred Generic Personal Ashtrays to trial at one of our sites. The results were so impressive that we ordered Branded Personal Ashtrays including our corporate 'track 2 zero - target zero harm' program logo and also a QR Code that scans direct to the
Environment & Safety section of our website."
"Our Branded Personal Ashtrays look fantastic and they do exactly what they are designed to do - and that's give our staff and contractors the ability to safely and easily dispose of their butts the right way, wherever they are."
"Our Mini-Butts have been very well received by our staff and contractors and the decrease in employee cigarette butt littering is dramatic. No BuTTs personal ashtrays are helping WDS change the littering habits of our employees and contractors and that's good for the environment as well as our corporate image.
"The words environmental responsiblity and sustainability are increasingly used by many organisations these days, but talk is cheap." said Jack Jacobson, No BuTTs Managing Director.
"WDS's commitment to high standards of environmental protection is evident all the way down to the guys and girls who are literally in the trenchs."
"Companies spend a fortune every year on environmental initiatives and want to be seen to be doing the right thing. But it only takes one staff member or contractor in work gear littering their butts in public, and all that good work is for nought. Even worse is that when people litter their butts they're basically anonymous - but they make the company look bad and it's their public image that suffers - and that's completely unacceptable."
"It's also completely avoidable with No BuTTs Branded Personal Ashtrays. For around $3 per employee, Mini-Butts Branded Personal Ashtrays are a cheap, effective and sustainable way to help the environment and protect corporate public profiles at the same time. In fact, we know from the many comments we've received that Personal Ashtrays create a lot of very positive PR."
